The Workshop on Additive Biofabrication (WAB) is a biannual event and networking platform dedicated to researchers and professionals interested in additive manufacturing for biomedical applications. Organized by experts in the field, WAB aims to foster collaboration, share cutting-edge advancements, and support the growing biofabrication community.
The first edition, WAB2024, was held in Madrid, Spain, in September 2024 at IMDEA Materials Institute, bringing together scientists and industry leaders to discuss the latest trends in biofabrication. Future editions will expand to different regions in Spain and across Europe.
Join us for this exciting event dedicated to advancing additive biofabrication!
Aims and scope
The aims and scope of WAB2024 encompass a broad range of objectives and areas of interest within the field of additive biofabrication. Here are some key aims and the scope of the workshop:
It provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and interdisciplinary discussions. The scope includes biofabrication technologies, biomaterials, tissue engineering, medical and industrial applications, challenges, ethics, future directions, sustainability, and education. WAB2024 seeks to drive progress in biofabrication, fostering responsible and sustainable development in various fields while promoting ethical and regulatory awareness.
